Describe Halo

In one sentence

Halo turns your Mac's notch into a Dynamic Island for your messages, your voice, your AI agents and your music, even on screens that don't have a notch.

In a paragraph

Halo is a Dynamic Island for the Mac. It lives in the MacBook's notch, or draws one on any screen without it, and stays out of sight until something happens. Notifications from any app arrive in the island instead of the corner of the screen. Hold Fn and talk, and Halo types your words wherever the cursor is. A small face called Buddy follows your cursor, naps when you step away and shows how Claude Code and Codex are doing. Halo also handles music with synced lyrics, calls, timers, a file shelf, clipboard history and the real brightness of external monitors. It costs $9.99 once, with no account and no subscription.

What's new in 2.0

Notifications in the notch. Banners from any app arrive in the island, with a switch for each app.
Dictation. Hold Fn, talk, let go: the words are typed wherever the cursor is. On the Mac, or with Whisper and your own Groq key.
Halo Buddy. A face beside the notch that follows your cursor, naps when you're away and wears your AI agents' mood.
Calls. Which app has your microphone, and for how long.
Eight languages, with a switcher in Settings.
Redesigned: a Home like Now Playing on iPhone, usage rings, smoother motion, a new welcome and a new icon.

Each tile downloads the full-size file; the icon is also an SVG. The zip has these and more, including the island on a transparent background. Everything is rendered from the real app; the songs, messages and events in it are made up.
